How to SHOP clothes FOR LESS?
1. First ENVISION what you want to buy
Yes! Think ahead of what you want to buy. Do you want a dress? or a blouse and skirt? or just a blouse? or just a skirt? That way you will not be easily swayed by other clothing trends that you don't really need for that particular occasion.
2. PRAY BEFORE shopping
Sounds weird! Isn't it?! but yes I do pray before shopping for a party dress. I pray to God to lead me to the right store and to help me find a dress that's within the budget I set which is usually just 300 pesos. And I'd say, God has proven himself faithful. I have countless of examples to prove that. One example is this blouse I bought at a stall in a mall.
3. Don't be intimidated by BOUTIQUES
Most of the time, we always think that all clothes sold in boutiques cost higher than the ones in bazaars or department stores. While it may be true for some but it's not always the case. The key here is timing. Always be on the look-out for sales. Sometimes the prices go much lower than in bazaars. As an example, I once bought a dress for 299 only at a high-end international clothing brand store.
4. Choose something COMPLEMENTARY.
This means that you choose a clothing item that matches your existing clothes, accessories, sandals or bags when it comes to color, style and probably, texture. In this way, you will be able to save on having to buy a new pair of sandals or skirt or bag just to match your new clothes. You will have more options to mix and match, as well. As for me, I go for my favorite colors most of the time because I know I will always have a match for it. Choosing a neutral color, also, can help.
